Hi “Team Mid Wales Secretaries”

May I wish you all a “glorious twelfth”! ……….. and ……..include a reminder that the next event on the calendar for the new season is the JV Davies INDIVIDUAL which is on SUNDAY 4th September at Waunfawr, Aberystwyth.

Please tell me (by return if possible) if your club has held a “qualifying heat” and, if so, how many played and of those how many wish to/are willing/are able (??) to play in the event on the 4th.

In the case of clubs which have NOT held a heat – I will be seeking players who would like to/be willing to play so as to ensure that we have a viable event in terms of numbers – a minimum of 5 tables is ideal.

The next event after the JV Davies is theLadies’ Pairs – for the Gwyneth Flaye Cup, on 11th September (again at Waunfawr unless geography of entries suggest a change – unlikely) DIRECT ENTRY – to me, please — and preferably IN ADVANCE to alow me to make the correct number of boards etc.

PLEASE ensure that ALL your members are aware of the events – AND – are encouraged to enter — it is important that we maintain the viability of Mid Wales as an Area.
